Last month after a trip to Jax, I parked the rig in the back yard with the back window down. After a three hour South Florida thunderstorm- think of dumping 5 gal. buckets of water nonstop for 3 hours- I had a sick feeling that maybe I left the window down- flashlight shining through the rain I felt sickened to see no reflection- at 1:45 am I sprinted outside to "key up" the window- NO LUCK!!!!!!!!!!! I went to the backup plan- opened the drivers door and keyed the ignition and toggled the the rear window switch- SWEET~~ up she went!!. The next afternoon during lunch- I went out to the rig and keyed the window lock- SWEET up/down. down up.!!!!!
FYI2: I have Rhino liner in the back and 3;5 inches of rain accumulated durng the downpour. WOW
I recently Herculined the floor and inner bedsides of my 84 Bronco. I keep kicking myself for not doing it sooner!!! It was a messy job, but the results are definitely worth it. $90 for a gallon of the H, plus another $30 for supplies, like extra brushes, a pan, gloves, etc. When any water puddles up on the floor, a quick shot with the air hose blows it right out!!! JSM84, I put on a Herculiner on my 79 Bronco too, and I love it. Now after I unstalled the kit and started working at Napa(which sells the kit)and I could get it for $55.
I want to buy the kit just to install it on somthing just because I can get it for $55.
The Kit from Napa also includes a $20 mail in rebate, and cost $80 to start with + about $10 tax, then the rebate which would be $70, but I have a discount and it cost $55 w/ tax and discount.
To tell the truth, I think that is the only thing that is at a good price in there store.... well the Napa oil too.
Starting the Durabak liner project for the entire floor this weekend... tailgate is already Rhino-lined. Know what you mean about the "sinking" feeling (pun intended) when the rains come and the rear glass is down or the top is off. Saw a familar sight the other day as the skies began to open and a guy in about an 88-89 went zipping by with the top off. Thought to myself... "yep, been there... where's an overpass when you need one?!"
