New to the game

Hey everybody,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am the new owner of a 1978 F150 4x4 stepside, which happens to be in great shape other than the interior. I have always loved Ford trucks, and my 1st truck was a 1977 F150 4x4 with a 400 in it that smoked like you would not believe, which I had when I was 17. I am now a business owner, and all my vehicles are Fords, from my trucks to my vans, except for my Hummer. I haven't been in the restoration game for a long time, almost 20 years, which I can hardly believe myself. I come from a family owned car dealership background, which I was minorly involved with through my twenties, but I moved on to construction which is what I love. My son is 6 years old and loves Ford trucks as well, and he can't wait to start helping me out when I start tearing into this thing. Guys, I am gonna need all the help I can get. I work alot, especially this time of year, and I am not too resourceful on the computer. I hope some of you other enthusiasts out there can help me with any questions and lead me in the right directions for a speedy and magnificent restoration.

Hi and welcome to FTE! Sounds like a great truck. I had a 1985 F-150 Flareside. I miss it all the time. There is a picture of it in my gallery (click my username then view gallery). Head on down to the 1973-1979 truck forum for some great people and information.

Read this for some info that will help you around the site: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...92&postcount=2
