Well, here I go again in an attempt to use this forum to discuss the F-100 Super Nationals. This is a test message and more will follow if this works :-)
AFTE is going to be present at the F-100 Super Nationals at Pigeon Forge, May 18-21. We expect at least 40 members to show up at least for one day of the event and some of us will be there for the whole week.
We've been planning this on the PF group list but that has been discontinued so any who think they may be able to attend should get into this forum and discuss the event and their plans with us so we can all get together and meet each other.
Last year there were nearly 800 ford trucks from full restorations to custom slammers with beautiful paint jobs to look at along with the swap booths and vendor booths. It was a fun event to visit :-)
Well it takes me much longer to get to here, but I hope this does what the PFlist did. I still hope to be in PF by noon Friday. Is the b'fast at Alan Jackson's still on. How about the picnic. At last notice I think it was moved to early Friday, right?
Looks like this venue is not getting as much use as the PFlist. WHERE ARE YOU OH GREAT POOHBAH???
Seriously, I still plan on being in Pigeon Forge on Friday. I don't remember where the picnic is going to be. AJ's will be easy enough to find. Also looks like Soapy won't make it again. We both are upset. How many list trucks will at least be in PF?
Yup :-) Just got my card cleaned out so I'm ready Freddy :-) May not have any cash but I'll have a $2500 vacuum to absorb all the fun :-) We'll worry about cleaning it out again later :-)
Took a test trip to VA last weekend but took a Dodge van because it already had the handycap stuff on it. Was hoping to give the star a test run but didn't have any ramps for the wheel chair. Got to get those ordered pretty soon! :-) With my medication I'm good for 12 hr drives, easy :-) We are ready! :-)
Seems to always happen, plan ONE trip a year for pure enjoyment and something always comes up. But, have to remember priorities, due to family obligations, I must be in Texas by May18, so, cancel Pigeon Forge this year. Don, I've already submitted a count of two for the breakfast, so, please remove us from your count. The picnic as well, Ken. Always next year, I guess.
