Vibration at high speed
1st, let me say, this forum rocks! I got alot of good info for my last Ranger (96 xlt 4-banger 5-speed stick).
As you can see it's been a while since I've been here, but I knew where to come to with questions about my new Ranger (01 extend cab xlt 4x4 4.0 ltr).
Anyway, here is the deal. I already found a fix for my 1st problem about the drive shaft slip yoke. Thanks!
What I need help with is a rolling (rear to front) vibration at aprox. 80mph and 3000rpm. I can feel it in the seat, not in the wheel or the peddel. If I take my foot off the gas, it subsides.
I'm wondering if it will go away after regreasing the slip yoke.

After driving it some more on the highway, There is a vibration at lower speeds also, although it is very light, and I can feel it a little through the wheel.
The wheel is slightly off to the left. If I let go, it pulls ever so slightly to the right. I'm wondering if maybe the allignment is out a bit, or maybe the toe.
At any rate, I'm going to have the tires re-ballanced.
