Where's my VIN?
I was given a 1979 F-150 in good condition. Minor surface rust. There is no VIN# on the drivers door. Is there anywhere else it exists? I have no title or old license plates to check, and it runs too good to part out.

The vin is located in three places. In the driver's side door jam, on a tag mounted on the top of the firewall and it is also stamped on the top frame rail of the passenger side just behind the motor mount.

actually there are two places on the passenger side frame rail.
Between the rad support & the firewall and under the cab ..further along the frame.
The tag on the firewall is a plant buck tag used for building the truck.
It can't be used to verify the VIN# of the truck.
