99 EB stereo woes
Hello all. I recently purchased a 99 EB with the Mach audio system. I soon realized the subwoofer was not working. After searching this forum and other sources regarding the problem, I assumed the subwoofer had blown. However, after going through all the trouble of removing the speaker and enclosure, I discovered the driver was good but there was no power to the sub amp. Further investigation revealed that someone must have replaced the original head unit with a non-Mach radio. I believe the current head unit is for a premium audio system. It looks very similar to a Mach radio but the port for the subwoofer connector has no pins! The result is that I am now looking for the correct radio. If anyone has a Mach head unit for 99-01, with CD changer control and subwoofer output, I would be interested in buying it - email me with details.
