Computer Software

Hey all, I have installed my laptop in my truck 99 F-250 SuperDuty 4X4 Super cab. Now I am looking at getting software and a cable to plug into my truck from my computer so I can monitor everything on my truck through my computer. Has anyone done this with their diesel, and if so what software do you think is the best for this kind of thing. I see there are lots out there, just wondering what you all have experienced with these.

autoenginuity is one that has diagnostic and monitoring capablility but not exhuast gas temps. i think there is some out there for performance flashing but don't know for sure. have not used either but hope one day to have the autoenginuity but won't need that til no long have a snap-on scanner to use.

I appreciate the info, anyone know of another one that monitors the other points: exhaust gas temps? I will definately check ebay on that though.

Autoenginuity is great! Just don't crash watching those sensors.

I mounted my GPS 'antenna' behind the instrument cluster under the dash so it cannot be seen. (as you can see it is bright yellow and just doesn't look right sitting out.

The finished product!

All three cords coming out of the cubby hole.

The mount has three tilting/turned points. Also telescopes.

The power inverter mounted behind the dash.

I direct wired the power invertor in the truck behind the dash. I ran a relay with the USB of the computer, so it only turns on when the laptop is on.
