I have a 04 explorer automatic trany. often when I go from reverse to drive, it tends to hesitate before going into drive. If you don't come to a complete stop you will roll backwords before going into drive. the shifter on the column seems to not always line up when this occurs. Any help would be great.
thanks
i see a lot of people ask this questions, and a lot of people say they have the same problem, but i can't find anyone who knows what to do about it. i have had this problem since my 2004 explorer was brand new and had the additive put in but the problem has returned. does anyone know how to solve this jolting in reverse problem?
So let me get this straight, Ford can't build a decent car for $35,000?
What does it take? $55,000.?
My 00 Lincoln sold new for $35k and it was the worst car that I ve ever owned.
My 04 Explorer was 35k and I wouldn't take out of town.
What does it take?
My 01 Mercedes is flawless with 65k and it goes out of town every month.
My 04 Freestar is an excellent car with 44k.
But the 04 Explorer is questionable at best?
I've bought American for 40 years but that maybe coming to an end, real soon.
FORD get your shizt together.
