Work 3rd shift midnight to 7am. Best shift I have worked. 2nd shift was really the pits as far as a family life, but the work itself wasn't bad except trying to go in when it was a really nice day.

24 hr shift....8am to 8 am, 10 days a month.

It's easier to show you than explain it. The cycle starts on a Tues. I work Tues, Thurs, Sat, Mon, Fri, Sun, Wed. Have 5 days off, then start again on Tues. Works out to 10 days a month.

I am self employed used to treat it like a regular job when I started 40-50 hrs a week but in the spring and summer it was more like 50-70hrs a week. Now because of my back and other health problems I am lucky to work 20hrs a week.My best friend is off on the same time during the week so I have someone to hang out with while our wives are at work.

My schedule is 7:00am to 4:30pm with every other Friday off. Every other week I'm on call 24/7. This translates to 11 days on and three days off.

I work M-F, go to work sometime between 1:30-2:30am and get home sometime between 10:30am-12pm, sometimes I go to work a little earlier so I can take a nap half way through the day, still end up getting home around the same time though.
Best part is I only met my boss once, and that was almost 3 yrs ago, and haven't seen the office since.
