stalling problem

Hi guys. I've had my '49 on the road for a few months now and am having a blast I drive it almost every day. Drives like a champ. Just a refresher I'm running a 302, 4 bbl carb c-4 etc. Yesterday I went to crank it up and it took a few tries, but fired up (not commonfor this car). Went down the road a bit and it stumbled for a second then regained power. Went back home popped the hood and looked it over while running. Seemed fine. I have a clear fuel filter and it was full of gas. So I went back out on the road. Came to a stop sign and noticed it was running a little funny. Hit the gas and it sputtered and died. I coasted to a safe stop and then it took a couple of tries to fire, then it fired up and I drove it home.

I'm thinking it might have a piece of dirt or something in the carb? Your thoughts? I'm running an Edlebrock 4 bbl carb and it is nearly new. I cleaned and sealed the tank when I was building this vehicle so I doubt that is the culprit. I have driven this vehicle about 1,000 mi since getting her on the road in April and this is the first real problem. Need help!
Thanks in advance!

I just noticed that one of the vacum port caps is craked and is likely letting air in. Could that be it?
