wondering about originality
I looked at a 68 f-100 today. 68k original miles,has original paint. truck has a 360 2bbl with a 4spd. does this sound original?short box,should be quite a runner. thanx.

Depends on what you want, I have 68 CS with 69K, 360 until I installed a 414. Is that original miles or Mr. Odie turned over a few times? If you like short boxes good, to me they are useless to load motorcycles and ride worse than a 131" long bed. JMO's.

Sounds like a very nice truck!! If it looks good and runs good would be a very good find. Far as being original, check out the door tag and vin, see what it came with originally. I don't care much about original, the general condition would be a lot more important to me..... In watching sales lately on this era trucks, the mild customs and Hot Rods seem to be bringing better money then the restoration stuff anyway.....
