Question 84 E350 6.9 Electrical Woes'

Bought her a few years ago. Despite the wifeys hatred of it, I wont sell her till the engine seizes. I have relplaced her uptake, water, vacume pumps, and overhauled her brake system completely.

But allas, the electrical system is coming undone and it turns out you cant wrench on this stuff.

Issue #1: I cant start her without jumping poles. I hear a click and nothing more. I thought it might be a solonoid so i replaced it. Nothing. I checked the ignition wire for mili amps(?) while i turned it over. Nothing? Removed the start switch, inspected it and the harness, cleaned them and still nothing. I see the wiring into my tranny (neutral safety?) but im not certain how to approach removing/inspecting/adjusting it, as i cant see how its harnessed. Seems to be a large plastic semi disc behind an assembly of rods and plates.

There are other "issues", but this one puts me back on the road for another hitch of rigging in the north. Can you help me resore the "long range bomber" to her former glory?
