I've got a 95 E350 with the 460 with 180K. The truck is still running great, but I will be using this rig to tow my Jeep to events starting in a few months and want that 'piece of mind'.
I am going to pull the motor and go through it. I am thinking of adding a little power to the motor, but I still need it to be a reliable puller. Any input on some common problem areas in this motor? This is an EFI motor.
I want to have the rotating assembly balanced, put on a new water pump, new seals, and new main bearings. I have a friend with a trans shop so he is going to go through the E4OD and beef it up a bit.
I would replace the exhaust manifold bolts for sure. I'd be a miracle if their all still intact after all those miles. Replace with new and lots of copper anti-seize. As far as that Ridewell suspension-it looks interesting but what kind of price are you lookin at for that? It looks like it would be sweet on my RV but it looks real spendy.
