May have bad injector?
The last week or so it has been hard to start off and on, missing and running ruff.
2 days ago truck shut off like it was out of fuel, open fuel filter to see if it was full of fuel and was dry, hit on fuel pump and it started up.
Went to put more fuel in tank and vipers were coming out of the tank, is it getting hot, it was idleing for some time be for.
Now it runs ruff at idle and better at higher idle.
Someone told me to get a wire harness off a used truck.
Any help.
Truck getting older will need more help.
I have been reading the site off and on for a long time, thanks.
Sounds like you've got a bunch of air in the fuel rails. Keep that fuel tank level higher and replace the fuel pump. It's suffered a premature death by running without fuel. They rely on the fuel for lubricant, just like the engine relys on the crankcase oil.
I have a new pump and fuel filter will be putting on later to day.
How about the vapers in the fuel tank. talpipe heat?
Vaper lock in rails????
Cannot really answer that question other than theorize the fuel was very low and so the small amount left in the tank was getting heated up by the return flow from the hot engine.
