Hey guys First off I love my truck, But I need more room, so im looking for a super cab. I can tuff it out for a couple more months if the 07 will have a new transmission like the expy's will. the auto 4 speed I have is great but leaves room for improvement, Is ford going to step up to the plate in 07??? thanks Guys-Andy
From what I've heard for '07, the F150 will still have the same trans and very minor cosmetic changes, mostly chrome packages and such. Remember that the Epy is a year ahead of the F150 (new Expy came out in '03) so I'll figure on the '08's having some nice improvements.
I think '07 will bring a FX2 sport package for the 2 wheel drive. I was going to wait for the '07's until I found out there are not really any major changes, so I'm looking for a leftover '06 to replace my '04.
Thanks guys, yeah looks like 06 extra cab FX4 for me then.
I went extended cab on my 02 250 and it is the only reason I sold it. I suggest you check the crew. Doors close better. Quieter, more room. More resale value.
Have no Idea what the cost increase is. I would chose a 4x4 crew over a FX4 SC for bottom line cost.
My opinion. Lots of people have the SC and love it.
I'd wait. I believe Ford will put a 5 speed or 6 speed auto trans in the F-150 for the 2007 MY. They need to stay inline with the competition which already has 5 speed auto tranny's.
Don't jump so quick. Be patient and I think you'll see that you did the right thing. You'll regret it.
