I have run across a couple of trucks that I am very interested in purchasing... Only problem is that I don't know which way to go here... I know that a lot of work will be involved but why you ask.... Well.. I believe that good trucks are built and not bought!!! LOL.. Any how here you go..

1st truck is an 01 F-450 7.3 PSD cab and chassis truck with 6spd and 2wd... Problem, motor is toast.... and I mean toast!!

2nd truck is an 02 F-250 7.3 PSD Ext cab 4x4 with a good motor and auto trans but the truck is totalled....

My truck is an 88 F-250 ext cab 4x4 7.3 IDI with a bunch of what I call "Dave Tips and Tricks" performed to it... P.S. Thanks again Dave... lol

Question is.... I can only buy one of the two trucks... Do I get the 01 and use my 88 as a parts donor or do I get the 02 and make my 88 an "old dog with new tricks"

Would taking the running gear out of the 02 F-250 and completely retrofitting my 88 be worth the trouble.

Could I use my 88 7.3 motor and put all of the PSD parts from the 01 F-450 on it or are the blocks different...

Remember that I am very handy in the fabrication department and I have worked on an driven big trucks for many years... Mechanics isn't a problem.. Problem is whether I would be just throwing money and time away with a project like this...

Any input would be greatly appreciated from anyone who would like to reply.
