When i press my brakes when coming to a stop it feels like they are skipping, it's sort of a thumping...Sometimes the ABS light will come on and it stops perfect. What in the world could be the problem. I brought it once thinking it was air in the brake lines but was told there wasn't any...
If you are feeling a "vibration" felt through the seat or the steering column when braking, the most likely cause is warped rotors.
If, OTOH, you're experiencing a rapid pulsation in the brake pedal that you can both hear and feel, you're experiencing an ABS system engagement. If the ABS light comes on while braking and it does then stop smoothly as long as the ABS light remains on, then you have an intermittent fault with the ABS system.

Have you looked for any enhanced codes set from the ABS module? You need a scanner capable of pulling Ford enhanced codes, but that's where I would look first to help narrow down the problem.
I think I will start with the ABS speed sensor on top of the rear dif. The truck has 80K and it's the original sensor and at about $30.00 I will not cry if that not it.
Usually, when that rear sensor fails, the ABS system test will fail when you turn the key to on, and the ABS light will stay on. Then, if you pull the enhanced codes, you'll get a C1229 SWSRCCF (Speed Wheel Sensor Rear Center Coherency Fault) or a C1230 SWSRCICF (Speed Wheel Sensor Rear Center Input Circuit Failure).
