Exhaust leak...

seems to be coming from the manifold, although there are new gaskets from getting a new motor (for all you 4.2L folks). I beleive it is coming from the manifold to the exhaust pipe connection. Is there a donut for that?

if it is like my truck, it was just the studs, get the old ones out and buy some similar bolts to do the job

You could have a broken stud.
You dont have headers do you? Its been my experience that headers almost never seal right.
