I assume you mean final assembly point, not the percentage of US/Canada content (both called "domestic" by whatever law requires that sticker). Good question. Other than going to the dealer and looking at the window sticker, dont know.
BTW, Dodge is made by a German company. People either forget or ignore that fact.
Yepper, final assembly plant is what i'm looking for! I've heard or read that many if not all dodge p/u's are assembled in Mexico. I've also heard that many of the monte's are assembled in Mexico, but no proof.
BTW I dern sure did forget they are a German Co., oops!
Look at the first digit of the serial number. 1 = USA, 2 = Canada, 3 = Mexico.
That's really the only way to know, since not every car/truck of a certain model or brand are made in the same plant.
Here's a list of Ford factories worldwide. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Ford_factories
I think the ID tag on the inside of the door jamb tells you where it was made too.
I dunno about the 1/2 ton Dodges, but I know that the Ram HDs are made in Mexico.
Some of the Chevy Suburbans are made in Mexico too as are some Toyota Tacomas.
The first digit of the VIN will show the final asssembly point.
1= US
2= Canada
3- Mexico
J= Japan
W= Germany
and so forth
Kinda already mentioned...........but unless you have all the cars lined up to inspect their VIN's, how would one find out country of assembly???.........
