tranny and 73 question

howdy yall
i have a 1996 f250 psd 7.3 automatic

ive hav the transmition out twice in 2 months. what manual transmition can i swap out with and what do i need, computer?

You will need a ZF5 from a similar diesel. No computer needed.
Its a coplex process so do the swap. Ya might be money ahead to get a well built auto to go back in.

I've suggested in the past to go to tecumseh transmissions for E4ODs. They build them right. All heavy duty. And get a large capacity trans cooler and gauges.
