7.3 conversion
I want to convert my '94 f-350 5.8 4x4 to diesel for better mileage/power.The 7.3 is the logical choice but i'm wondering when ford started using computer controls on these diesel trucks and if I should stay away from them.My truck has the e4od trans i'm not sure if i will stick with the auto trans though.

They started with computer control with the PSD (94.5+).
You probably don't want to hear this... but it would be a LOT easier and cheaper to just sell your truck and get a 7.3l... Conversion would be a headache and a half.

Unfortuantely, I have to go with Big here, as the frame was enough different, as was the chassis to make it troubling and expensive to just simply do a swap. Had you had a 460, then it isn't as bad...
