drivers door unlocks by itself

When I hit the door lock button on my 2005 F350 SDCC, the drivers door unlocks by itself. Now I know it does it if you have the engine running, you just have to push it down and it stays. Today it started doing it with the truck off and key out of the ignition.
The only thing I did today was to disarm the door chime by pulling the wire connected to the ignition switch. Could this be related?
Has anyone had the same issues?

It could be. You said it did it before with the engine running(the key was inserted). Now it's doing it all the time(it doesn't know the key is not inserted because you took the wire off).
