Thumbs up

1st of all let me welcome you to the FTE Websites' " 61-66 F Series forum. This is the Ford Truck Site & Forum

A Fleet Side bed is off a Chevrolet, do you really want to put a Chevy bed on your Ford Truck?

If you're asking about a 65 Styleside FoMoCo Bed, the answer is yes if it's the same wheelbase as your truck is. ( ie SWB to SWB or LWB to LWB). It should be a direct bolt up.

The step side beds were short boxes. I think but i'm not sure a short box would fit on your frame. But I am not totally sure on that. My brother had a flat bed truck and we went to put a box on it and had to custom fit it. Maybe one of the other guys here might have a more soild answer for you.

Welcome to the site!

Its my understanding that there was little to no change in the rear half of the frame from 61 through 66. In theory, the bed should just bolt up if it is from the same wheelbase frame. They started using that slick bed that matches the bodylines in 64, but I have seen many 61-63s with it. So many infact that I only recently learned none came with that style bed. I assume that means it is less than complicated to do.

A 57 to 63 bed "Style Side" will directly bolt in place of a "Flare Side" in 114" wheelbase
64 style side beds have their own pattern for 114" wheelbase
65 and 66 beds do not directly bolt on to 64 as the frames bolt pattern and wheelbase was changed to 115" The beds fit 61 to 64 but the frame needs to be redrilled to meet the 115" pattern.

Typically a truck ordered from the factory as a flat bed will have a set of flat rails from the cab back for 61 to 64 similar to the 4x4 frame. this will need shimming to fit.

This is for F100 and 250 2 wheel drives only in short bed config.
