code 302 and then 304
hello fordmaniacs
97 ford expedition eb 4x4 133000 miles
last week my truck stared missfiring but i did not get any codes
i took it to the freeway and the cel stared flashing
code 302 (cylinder 2 misfire) went home cleared the code drove for 3 days still misfiring
took it back to the freeway cel light started flashing again this time code 304(cylinder 4 misfire)
is it time to replace the spark plugs or is something else i should check
i bought the truck 3 months ago

Misfire could be a plug or coil.
My 2 cents...
Replace all the plugs using only motorcraft, these engines do not like anything else. Make sure to use the diode grease on the boots before putting them back on.

cylinders 1-2-5-6 are okay but 3-4-7-8 are a little pain in the *** specialy 8
you need the 5/8 socket extension one of those connectors that bend another extension any your ratchet and patience a lot of it
be careful with the injectors do not pull them off
