Need info on 2005 explorers
I looking at a 2005 explorer with 13000 miles on it motor is a v8 4.6L
1 Im just wanting to know what kind of fuel mileage i should expect
2 any known problems i should be aware of or down falls of the explorer

Highway mileage for me is 18-21, lowest in summer with A/C blasting; towing drops it to 15-16. I've never checked around-town mileage.
If the tranny needs the additive that wasn't included in some Gen. III Explorers from the factory, make sure it's done before you buy it.
If it has the tow package, possible problem with the LS clutch packs in the rear end ('05 Explorers may not have LS).
