Door ajar light
Hey guys I need some help.. I have an door ajar light that stays on. My electric door locks do not work. My interor light does not come on when you open the door.
I have tried spraying the latches and it hasn't worked yet.
Does the bad door switch put out a code so you know which one it is.??
Is there anything else I can check.??

I had a similar issue, except my door locks worked using the lock/unlock switch. The door ajar light stayed on, the auto door locks did not engage, and the dome light did not come on when the door was open, and the factory keyless entry didn't work.
I tried spraying the latches with WD40. After that didn't work I took it to the dealer. They hooked it up and said that their computer didn't recognize that there was a vehicle security module. They said they thought all the wiring from the aftermarket alarm was keeping their computer from recognizing that the vehicle secuity module was there.
So I took it to the car alarm place and they unhooked the alarm and returned it to factory specs and did some diagnosing of their own. They predicted that it was a bad vehicle security module.
I took it back to the dealer and guess what? It was a bad vehicle security module. I think the module being bad was what was keeping the computer from recognizing it, not the alarm wiring.
Luckily it was a $50 extended warranty claim for me.
