On my 67, when I push the inside handle down to lock the door, then close it from outside...it unlocks again. Is this right...I mean do I have to use the key everytime??? It does it on both doors.
The only way to lock the doors from the outside is with the keys - ain't it wonderful! Can't lock the keys in the truck. By the way, if you're interested - if you ever have to change the lockset in the ignition, where you wind up with one key for the doors and another for the ignition you can still have one key cut that fits both. Take both keys to anyplace that makes keys and have the new key cut so one side matches one of the original keys and the other side matches the other original key. I've done this on both my '72 and my '93. I have a notch cut into the head of the key so I know which way it is oriented.
