cutting cab corners out
Which corner?
I haven't used prefab patches yet. I usually make my own. However, in a complicated shape area, I usually rough shape the patch to the area to cover, then use it as a template to mark the area to cut out. I then size the patch and cutout together (depending on which one is easier to size) so that I get about a .040 gap all around. Then I use magnets to hold it for the initial tacks.

Last week on Trucks they just cut out the rusted area about an inch past the rust then use the piece that they cut out to make a template on the new cab corner, cut it then fitted it in. They used this glue that costa bout $80 bucks a tube whis is suppose to be as tough as welding with the posibility of warping. It came our pretty good.
