Question EGR routing guidance needed

73/302-2v/3 spd manual

Here is my current set-up. I have researched through Mil1ion's gallery, on-line etc and can't find a diagram for this model/year. So based on those diagrams here is what I got:

The EGR vacuum control valve provides vacuum to the EGR valve when the coolant temperature reaches a certain level.

1) Vacuum lines runs from vac advance to carb. There is a tee in between with a line that runs to the top port on the EGR Vacuum Control Valve.

2. Vacuum line runs from the bottom port of the EGR Vacuum Control Valve to the EGR Valve.

There is no rough idle or pinging, which are signs that it's connected correctly. If I take vacuum directly off the intake's rear at the vac. main the valve will move, so that should mean it's not carboned up.

Is there anything y'all see that I should be doing differently?

When I increase engine rpm should I be able to see the rod in the EGR valve move?
Thanks

This is Just the EGR diagram you want .as you mentioned before...correct

(I notice you have 73 302, In was under the impression it was 78
3's & 8's look alike to me sometimes)

not the Emissions and vacuum lines ?

If so then you should have asked me for the Emissions diagram

https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...photoid=117055

1973 was tough year to find emission things for and In 1974 things to do with the EGR changed.

I'll check some older books for illustrations you need.

EDIT:
It isn't much but I found a diagram and will post it shortly as I need to scan it first.

Mil1ion,

That's closest I've seen yet. Thanks. I will take a look at a few thing I saw in those diagrams tonight and compare to what's on the truck.

The 73 302/2v diagram shows many more parts to the system than mine has. I don't have any of the the other vacuum control ports other than the one fot the EGR.

Is that diagram specific to a 73 truck?

Many thanks again.

No it didn't say car or truck.
I would suspect a car though.
Just what you see on the bottom of the pic.

I have what some woud call a huge library and things like this are hard to find.

This is what I mean by Not finding much.
The thing is Emissions weren't a big deal until then
I remember when the new cars and trucks came our in the 60's how minimally equipped they were,........... That's why they were so powerful though

I have one last possibly resource but ot is a Ford 73 Car shop manual.

Mil1ion,

I have created a gallery to display my current set-up. Bounce this off of what the diagrams are showing. Any ideas?

Thanks....
