hey i have a 360 and am going to rebuild it just wondering if any of you guys could tell me any problems you had with em and where to look when stripping down the block ?

There's one potential issue. There is an oil passage that goes up to the rockers that sometimes cracks. This will let oil seep into the coolant. If there was oil in the coolant this may be the cause.
Other than that, just the usual stuff you would look for on any used block.
