I bought a cab for my 59 in Modesto - can I get some help picking it up? I will need a few men to lift it onto the trailer. The seller does not have a good way to lift it.
I bid on this cab on ebay (number: 4644679247) and did not win it. Sort of irritated me as I was high bidder at around $50, but someone sniped me in the last 30 seconds - raising beyond my max bid of $167.
Turns out this bidder is from Colorado, and had no way to pick up the cab. He did not buy it so the seller offered it to me as a second chance offer at my last bid - $167. If the idiot from Colo had not bid I would have had it for $50 - he cost me $117 - and screwed up the seller.
However, if it is as good as the seller states, it is still cheaper than buying the rust repair panels for mine. I intend to use the front half from this cab and the rear of another - stretching the cab 6" through the doors.
Anyway, I thought I could show up in Modesto late one afternoon and get a few men to stop by the seller's house on their way home from work. Would this work for anyone?
I don't have any way to get down to Modesto anytime soon. If somebody from nearby can go help you out and doesn't mind coming to Napa to pick me up I'll help out
Thanks, guys. The seller has decided to leave it a rolling chassis - so I will try my luck at using a tow bar to get it home. I am going to try this Sat morn.
JD, Mike - I have your phone numbers but do not think I will have any problems.

btw, this gives me an extra steering box, frame, and a ford 9" rear, not that I needed the extra junk in my yard!
That's the way I've always felt...but now the code enforcement ***** are running rampant in this county and I think it's time to thin the herd a little before I become a target...
