I was wondering how hard it is to change over my 70 model 302 in my truck to electronic ignition? Besides the distributer what else needs changing? And is it worth the change? I just signed up for this forum today i have gotten a lot of good information from this message board, i plan to use it a lot.
Go to a wrecking yard(auto recycle center in PC speak)
and find a complete mid to late 70's Ford, strip the wiring
harness for the dizzy, and get the module as well, you'll
need it to match up the new one you're going to buy. Get
the cap adapter as well, that's the part that the dizzy cap
is mounted to, it pops off the same as the your old caps...
when yopu've got all the stuff, write back...

I have a 78 f-150 that i took the front disc brakes off and power steering, but it has a 351m in it so i know the distributer will not work but what about the rest of it that you mentioned? Thanks for responding.
Chuck, I have been told that the eloctro top part og the dist can be swapped in. I think you will like the happy with the electronic ign.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
I just put a pertronix conversion kit with a flame thrower coil on my '70. piece of cake install, the setup rocks, and everything was just under $100. ordered online from "retro rockets". used pertromix as search. you'll love it.
