Hi
I have a 1992 f150 302,4wheel drive auto and when its warmed up it will all the sudden start to surge and if you turn it off and let it cool down it will run great. I have had it checked out and the garage, they could not make it do it.They said the codes that where stroed where the egr valve but its working?
try unplugging the green hose from your egr valve and if you notice a difference, well then its your egr valve. Its just the spring gets weak.
Daz
I unpluged the green hose when the engine was just started and there was no change, it was on a cold start. I do have vacume on the green hose?????
check the voltage on your TPS , also unplug the IAC while its running. if things change its working if not there is your problem. you can either remove and clean it or replace. www.fordfuelinjection.com will show you how to test the TPS.
Also the TFI module is mounted to the distributor and will sometime cause fits if it gets to warm. it wont throw a code either.
the egr will not affect how the motor is running by the way so i wouldnt worry about that.
