Greetings all
Let me introduce myself. Like my father, I have always had a soft spot for Ford trucks. probably because the first truck I remember dad driving was a 62 f-100 4x4. (ol'blue) Like many guys, I'm sure, our best memories are of the good times we had with our fathers.
Dads truck took us many adventures, that a young boy will always remember, fishing, hunting, prospecting or just beating around in the hills looking for our next discovery.
In 1972, dad and I took off for a drive in the hills, as it began to rain, little did we know this would be the night that would change many lives forever. The flood that ocurred that night took more than 200 lives. I probably owe my life to dad and that old truck.
As dad grew older it became harder for him to jump up into the truck and the decision to trade it off was made. I know I cried when it was gone.To dad it was just an old truck.
Forward 30 years, the memories of ol'blue never far from my mind, a nother 62 was found, purchased and parked in the driveway.it sat for several years untill my own son asked "when are we fixing up that old truck" thats all the proding I needed.
So now the ball is rolling, and a new adventure begins for for a son and his grandson...
