A/C Compressor swap

Well folks, finally got back to my A/C work......and naturally I have another question. I flushed the entire system and didn't like the looks of the stuff that was coming out, no debries, but black stuff, like carbon dust mixed with liquid. Made me believe that my compressor might be going south on me.

I immediately went over to my 90 and pulled the compressor (which I know is in very good shape). During the process of removing the compressor from the 91 I noticed some differences. The compressor from the 91 is a FS10, I don't know what the model from the 90 is.

1. The hose connections on the 91 are on the back of the compressor (the 90 are on the top). 2. The mounting bolts are skinnier on the 91 than on the 90.

So my thought was to remove the hoses from the 90 and use them on the 91. The different routing looks like it should work.

The mounting bolts are bothering me. Would I be asking for trouble mounting the 90 compressor using the skinny bolts????
