My son just had a close encounter with a fire plug in my 90' Ranger SC and I was wondering if the grille and bumper on an 91' explorer would fit? I have been told it will but you know how Chevy lovers lie.
I'm not sure on that one, do you have a line on explorer parts is why you are asking? Cause it seems that year ranger, 89 to 92 should be plentiful in the boneyards and such just to get ranger parts. Chevy lovers do lie, but they might be telling the truth this time, but I'm thinking they won't without some fab work. Anybody know for sure, help us out guys !!
Yeah...look for rear-ended Rangers in the boneyard. Easy pickin'. I'm not too sure on the Exploder-Ranger compatability, they used to be totally different body styles.
mackedisto: the 89 thru 92 ranger, bronco 2 and explorer front ends do share the same parts. Plus the explorer had the same parts up until 94, but that is the extent of shared body sheet metal. The ranger changed in 93 and the explorer changed in 95 and since then nothing has been shared for body sheet metal. Even with all these that share parts the boneyard pickins can be slim at times.
