I purchased a banks exhaust for my 2006 before I found this site.My 1st question is will the mbrp pipe that bolts to the cat fit up with the banks exhaust so i don't have to cut my cat and the second question is can I buy just that pipe.Sorry if this has been covered but I searched for a while and never found my answer. Thanks in advance.
I have the Banks turbo back exhaust with the stock cat. It is welded in but this isn't that big of a deal. I really like the sound of the exhaust and the lower egt's.
No it won't, the Bank's systems make you cut the flange off of the cat to slip into their slip joint, the MBRP has a flange like the stock cat and it bolts to it. Keeps Ford happy too that you didn't modify the cat.
I did not say you didn't have to cut part of the cat. I am just saying that it wasn't that big of a deal. I have never heard of ford giving anyone problems because of this either. I could be wrong but I doubt they would. I am not endorsing either product. I am just saying that it wasn't that tough to do.
