Has anyone had good luck with the Raybestos rotors?? I can order 4 rotors and pads all the way around from parts america for $273 shipped to my door which seemslike a really good deal since most rotors out there are normally in the $70ea + price range.
raybestos makes good rotors but the pads are not so hot. all fords come with raybestos pads from factory so if you want to stay away from OE then skip raybestos. napa has good pads.
I bought 1 Raybestos rotor for my 94 F250 back around 2000 and it has done fine. I tow an 8,000# trailer about 20-30% of the time and have not noticed any unusual wear or brake feel.
The rotor was very nicely machined and had a decent warranty when I bought it. There were cheaper China specials which had lousy warranties and could not be turned down. Then there was a NAPA lifetime rotor but it was about $20-$30 more expensive than the Raybestos. I think I paid something like $70 for it.
Do yourself a favor and pay the little extra to get Powerslot/Hawk rotors and pads. Way better stopping distances, no fade, no warpage either. Get the cyro'ed ones and you'll be surprised at what they perform like. Call us if you have any questions etc.
