Shuttering overdrive

99 f250 4x4 at operating temperature will shutter when shifting into overdrive. Just had trans fully rebuilt and kitted. New torque convertor to. still have same problem. Really need to know posible causes of this problem. Appreciate all input on this subject. We are now scratching our heads over this issue.

If you had it done at a shop, it is their problem.

I am no tranny expert but assuming that the components were good condition and assembled properly, then the problem would most likely be misadjustment of some of the sensors. I forget what they are called and where they are, but I recall reading that there is a sensor somewhere on the tranny linkage that if it is out of adjustment will cause torque shudder.

Could also be some misconnected computer plugs or dirty plugs. Or you might just have bad luck and there is still a bad component somewhere in the tranny.

Hope some of the experts step in with better ideas.

The sensors are what we are going to look at next. Going to recalibrate the computer also and then see what is going on. Thanks a bunch for the info. Have a good one.
