Equivelency

Can someone complete this phrase....

The 7.3 is to the T444E as the 6.0 is to the _____? Thanks

VT365, although I believe far more tuning has been done in the VT365-->6.0 conversion than in the T444E-->7.3 conversion.

So the VT365 is what is running in the fort and International school buses?

Yes...

Ford uses their own style or type injectors and electronics and programming.

Intl' version uses a different fuel filter and has different HP and tourqe specs... but the basic block/motor is the same.

You'll find the VT365 in International 4100 and 4200 series medium-duty chassis, and the 1652SC chassis. Yes, you'll find them in school buses, etc.

Did the International folks have the same type of inital difficulties that the Ford people did or was it jus the fords since they used their own brand of stuff?

Not that I'm aware of. Ford's incantation of the VT365 turns nearly 100hp extra in it's "stock" form as compared to the International motor. This extra 100hp caused quite a few of the problems...
