I am half way through converting my 68 F100 to disc brakes. Today I installed the booster from a '78. My problem is the brake petal does not retract as far as it used to, there is around an inch before it contacts the brake light switch and it doesn't line up with the clutch petal. Do I need a brake pedal from the '78 also or is there something else I am missing? Any advice would be appreciated.
Drill another hole in the booster arm to lower the pedal. I think I drilled about 1 1/8" down the shaft. You want the pedal pretty far down as it travels less.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
The brake pedal will no longer match up with the clutch pedal. I took the power brake pedal out of the donor truck and put it in my 70 truck and it worked great. My donor truck was also a 78 model.
