Valve cover install

Thinking about installing some nice valve covers on my '91 302 efi, Is this an easy task or do I have to remove the intake etc.

The upper intake plenum can be a royal PITA on the passenger side but the driver side makes up for it. I've never tried to remove/install the passenger side cover with the upper plenum in place.

It's not that big a deal to take the plenum off, as long as you're prepared. Just be aware of that goofy Torx screw in the middle (if the 302 has one like the 351W).

If i remember right there is a torx in the middle on the 302 but i havent had to pull one off in a while so i cant really remember but i also know that the last time i pulled the upper off on my old bronco i had that lil torx seemed to have been misplaced (into the middle of the road)
