No Sound sometimes
In my '83 F250 I put a in a Sony CD deck. It worked fine for months but day before yesterday i pulled in my driveway and the music just stopped. The screen still displays what i was on but the sound stopped... I park and cut the truck off and turn on the key, it works, started it up, worked...Tonight I get in to go to work and it isn't playing. I pull over and restart the truck and it starts working. Restarting the Truck didn't work thsi morning on my way home tho. Can anyone give me some advice on where to start looknig for the cause of this odd problem? The deck is still on and getting power, but its not playing anything....

I installed a JVC receiver in a 1981 F250 with the stock speakers. It would stop playing when the speaker wires shorted to ground (manual said the JVC would shut down output if short occurred). The PO butchered speaker wiring in many places. It was grounding at the point were they passed through cowl and into door. I also replaced speakers installed new wires and grommets to solve problem.

ok, I will have to check and make sure nothing is shorting out, THe previous owner installed speakers but i replaced them. The wiring they put in may be really shotty and all so I will check that, and make sure none of the connections came loose when i installed it. Thanks
