tranny question

alright fellows. i have a 67 f100 with a mustang II IFS and a four link in the rear whick is all controlled by air ride, soon i will be having to decide on a transmission to throw in her. i will be running a 3.75 ring and pinion in the rear. i am debating wether to throw a 4 speed top loader or a 6 speed originally i had 3 on the tree. If one of you all have a better idea shoot it on out there. i appriciate you alls time.
Thanks

I say go for the good ol' top loader 4speed. I've got one in my Mustang and I love it. Shifts great with good ratio's

I'd go with the top loader. You get to shift, but not as often as with a six speed.

I say that you should go with a 6 speed and put some 4.10 gears in the rear. The double overdrive of the 6 speed will make up for the gear ratio, and 1st and 2nd gears combined with 4.10 gears will give you awsome launch capabilities. Then your truck will be fast and have decent mileage.
