not sure on the hitch , you should probably measure it up and take into consideration of the gas tank out back.

to put a 460 in can be done. try a search. it will require a different transmission, motor mounts, motor towers and some minor exhaust work.

why not just do a 5.8 swap. its a direct bolt in to the tranny and you can reuse a good portion of the parts from the 302. do a search for 302-351w swap

hey GVSU141, i'm currently thinkin about the same exact idea, and was wondering if you had made any progress. I got my hands on a fresh 460 with an A4od trans. Also have the whole donor truck for computer and misc stuff.

With the low HP rating of the 460, the 351 is the better bet. Plus 10MPG all the time with the 460, kinda hurts the wallet, alot worse than the 302 or 351. Do a search on pros and cons of each engine.

He didn't say it was a stock 460. yes you can bolt them in with adaptor motor mounts available from a couple different sources. you will need a different trans as the bellhousing pattersn are different and you will need the accesory mounts from the 460 as well. you also need to make sure the 460 has the rear sump pan and I would look into a bigger radiator on a 95 if I am not mistaken the radiator out of a early to mid 90s F250 that cam factory with a 460 will bolt in place. And lastly I would look at getting a set of leveling springs for a 95 F150 since your springs are 11 yrs old they are probably starting to get weak (this is assuming stock suspension of coarse) and the 460 will make the front sit a little lower. They aren't as heavy as people think they are but they are still heavier than a 302.

I was just mentioning the 351 as an option. In that time period the 460 was rated at 210HP, the 351 @ 200HP or the 351 out of a Lightning 240 hp. The lightning engine is a direct plug and play swap for trucks running the 5.8, can be done with minor work in a 302. Check my gallery for pics.
