I'm trying to decide if I should buy new leaf springs or just clean up the ones on there, my question is HOW DO I CHECK THE LEAF SPRINGS TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE IN GOOD CONDITION?
I found some new ones on parts magazines for about $350 each side, its the complete kit with bushings, shackels etc.
By looking at the leaf springs they look OK, haven't lost any of their shape. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I checked with a local spring shop about the leafs on my 71 f100. They would add a leaf, rearch the packs and install new bushings for $150 total.
I added air shocks for my sagging problem and left the springs alone. Works fine and I can vary the stiffness.

I have a 69 F100 and was facing the same delima. I checked around many places and found the quality and price of espo spring company to be great. You can check them out on the web at www.espo.com It was around 180 per side and they are great folks to deal with.
