What does TSB Stand for?

I know TSB is suppose to be Technical Service Bulletin, but I think it truly stands for Tough S*&t Buddy..

I have a problem with Lack of power on my 6.0L and have been trying to get the dealer to fix it. Again they say no problems, No codes, Nothing wrong here.

The problem I have is I can put the pedal to the floor and it will not move, Especially up hill. I have heard of turbo lag but this is more like turbo stall.
This is embarassing when you are trying to get on the highway and you can't pick up speed.

I brought them the Turbo TSB posted on FTE and they say it doesn't pertain to my truck. WTF

What could be wrong with this that they can't find?

The service rep had the ***** to say maybe it is the way I drive.. What bull...

I complained to the owner now lets see what happens.

Also What is normal turbo boost? Mine is usually around 10psi and I have never seen it over 20psi.

Would a chip help this? I may be able to get them to install it and not void the warranty.

Oh Yeah! by the way my truck is a 6 speed manual if that makes a difference.

don jammer, you couldnt be more correct, your truck has issues. for easy town driving your boost is about right. but when u step on it it should max out at about 25psi. even hard town driving should hit about 20psi. deffenitly some turbo issues for u my friend.
keep it ford

TSB means the company screwed up. Which seems to be a bad habit with FMC.

donjamer, BPofMD has it right, try a different dealer. I purchased my '03 brand new in May of '03, took the truck to Canada from SoCal pulling a 6000# TT without a problem...no turbo fart, no hesitation from a standing start etc. I had the oil/filter changed at 7K miles in Canada before heading back to SoCal. When the truck had 15K miles on it I took it to the dealer I purchased it from for the free oil/filter change included in the purchase. They changed the oil/filter, and reflashed it for some reason, and the problems started at that point. The truck performance went from awesome to poor, it started farting and I was one unhappy customer. I took it right back and the service manager said there was nothing wrong (said turbo fart normal) and that he would have his best tech look at the computer. Two trips later, I decided it was a lost cause and went to a different dealer. The tech at the new dealer reprogrammed the thing and my old performance was back. I haven't had a problem with performance since. Moral: Do not assume the dealer techs know what they are doing with the 6.0L.

Thanks 6.0 Rules,

I will be doing just that, but after complaining to the owner the service manager called and said the Ford rep was going to be there on June 1st. I had asked to see them 2 months ago. Before I go in I will get the part number off the turbo to see if I have the updated one. If I don't they will get an ear full.

Low boost conditions;

1- Check to make sure all your flexible connections of the intercooler system are tight and in good repair.

2- Stuck open vanes in the turbo. 1st step is to drive it like you stole it. If it doesn't help, get a new turbo under warranty.

Visit another dealer who has a large diesel service center. My dealer is so mod friendly its ridiculous, and a few techs have their trucks modded to the ****. When I had my truck in for new headgaskets, they had no issues to put in my self supplied ARP headstuds.
