Pondering the Possibilities

I own a 71 F100 4x4 with a 360 NP435, what can I rob from my 78 Bronco Parts truck with out to much fabrication?

Pondering the Possibilities

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 18-Mar-02 AT 02:36 PM (EST)]I have a 1970 F100 4x4. I used a 1979 bronco for a lot of my stuff. I robbed the T-18 and NP 205 transmission and transfer case to replace the stock Dana transfercase. I also used the front axle, tie rods and tract rod. I used the rearend. I had to cut off the shock mounts and spring pads on the rear axle and relocate them. But, I have the same width axle in front and back now. I also have disc brakes from the front axle swap. If you do that, you also need the proportioning valve that's on the bronco. I put a four inch lift on my truck. The larger diameter coil spring mounts on the bronco axle allowed me to use the new lift springs without any modification to the spring mounts. The front axle bolts in directly. These are the things I did. Good luck.
