face lift?

I was wondering if you can put the dog house from a 93 -96 vintage ford on the 80 -86 vintage ford with mild fabrication. i know the front bumper wouldtake some work but how about fenders and hood onto the cab. I think all the body lines will line up. Does anybody know about this. I plan to use a bed of these trucks for mine but I don't want the fenders to be mix matched. I saw that I can use fender flairs to hide it but I think it would be cool to have an old truck looking like a newer truck.

You will need the entire front clip, including radiator support, inner fenders etc. Everything is mostly bolt on, except the bumper. Bumper Brackets would have to be fabricated.

That and some minor wiring for the headlights and turnsignals etc...

It is indeed possible, and more than a few people have done the conversion.

The cool thing is, that it can be done both ways.

are you talking about just replacing the cab, or the cab and the entire front clip? if you're just looking for the cab, its almost a direct bolt on. i have pictures of the project in my gallery. there is very little fabrication if you just do the cab, probably only a very little more for the front clip

I found a way

I didn't want to replace the bed on my truck because the fenders wouldn't match. I found a way to hide it. Fender exstentions!! It doesn't look bad. I have seen it and it doesn't look bad.

the only mounting differences i know of between the cab and fenders is with the bottom bolt. the bolt that goes up from the bottom and secures the fender to the cab at the rocker panel is different on the newer cabs. it shouldn't be a big issue.
