After seeing the posters all over Regina I thought I would check out usedregina.com.It looks pretty good, a lot of new ads and a quick and easy search. There is a usedsaskatoon as well, just look for the link on the bottom of the usedregina page. http://www.usedregina.com/ There is already a 66 f100 for $600 and a 52 Merc M1 for $1600 on the Regina site.

Interesting Reading...

Sure would be nice to find all those kinds of links in one thread so us lazy out-of-towners could find them easily.
I registered on MySask to read the classifieds. What I really like is the "69 and older" listings. Most cars 89 and older in Ontario are way to rotted to be worth selling.

Dealford, there are still afew decent older units here but with the use of more road salt in the winter older vehicles are getting rusted here too. Once in a while a clean one can still be found.

I phoned the ad about the 52 Merc yesterday and the fellow still has it. So I am going to look at it on wednesday, it is actually in Moose Jaw. He says it runs fine but, it is very rusty though. Anyways, it looks like the same one I looked at last fall but I thought he was asking to much. Maybe I can get him to drop his price some more?

I forget, what was the price on the 52? I see the odd one around still but can`t really tell the difference between the 48/52 trucks.

I wish I started with a running truck like that. If you get the truck, I do have some F-1 sheetmetal but it may be in the same condition as the stuff on the truck.

He was asking $1800 last fall for it. Although there was no rust in the cab, the floor in the box was gone and the sides of the box were rusted along with the rear fenders. The worst thing is though that there is a sun roof. dueller I may be looking for a roof if I buy it. As for the differences Fom 48- 50 have the bar type grill and the 51-52 have the same grill as the 53. Also the 48-50 are designated as F47-68 and such and the 51&52 are F1, F2 and so on. The canadian versions anyways. They changed the running boards in 50 and the used stainless steel for the F1 emblem. Those are just some of the differences that I know of.

$1,800 sounds abit high, especially with the sun roof but it depends on how much you want it and how long you have been looking. They`re not making these trucks any more so you have to decide on buying this one or not. We will have to keep an eye out for you and see what`s around here.
